The Weekly Update: May 18 – May 24, 2015.

Current Updates:

1.      BAKE SALE May 16 & 17th: Natalie MacIntyre, rocked this event yet again.  We made approximately $2,200.  Again a big thank you to everyone who helped bake and/or table the event, especially Natalie.

2.      Veteran Participant Groups:  There has been discussion of adding Veteran groups to our repertoire of participant groups.  Veterans are a large and diverse group, not all veterans might be classified as having no/limited access to the outdoors.  Thus I wanted everyone’s input on if A) they think adding veteran meets our mission and B) if you are interested in working to identify veteran groups/organizations that meet our demographic.  Please fill out the survey to provide feedback.  Contact me (kate@icorafting.org) with any questions or concerns.  Thanks.

3.      Birthdays (Thank You Facebook):

a.      Happy Belated Birthday to Lance Chuck!  Please wish him a happy birthday, but back date it to last Thursday.

b.      Happy Birthday this week to Natalie MacIntyre; Nicole Durden & Ryan Clark

4.      Wilderness First AID: June 27/28th  Bobbie Foster is hosting a WFA class at Hanna Boys Center for ICO.  This is a 3-yr certification which is great to have both for ICO and anytime you are out in the wilderness.  The Sign up Deadline is May 25th.  You can sign up on our ICO Trips Page.  Cost is $100 for the class, but if you sign up for this one, ICO will be subsidizing our volunteers so the cost is only $60.  Please contact Natasha to sign up.

5.      No JUNE RIVER MTG:  I will be away at the beginning of June, thus there will be no June River Meeting.  The monthly River mtgs will resume in July!  But if you wanna meet, don't let my absence hinder you.

6.      WICOU Hiatus: I will be away for the next month starting May 25th, Thus there will be no WICOU’s being sent out.  Please expect the next WICOU in late June.
